A ceramic dryer is designed to run pieces subject to different elements :
Ø The morphology
Ø Heterogeneity of thickness
Ø Composition of raw material
Ø Humidity on shaping
Ø Shrinkage (Bigot Diagram)
Ø Sticking for Body and Rim
Ø Weight
Ø Tension due to gravity
Ø Defects on models
Ø Types of supports
The peculiarity of our dryer, comparing with our competitors, is that our machine is designed to dry any type of piece instead of adapting the pieces to the dryer. A typical example is that normally the pieces are subject to stand in a pre-drying process
before entering the very dryer as it happens with machines working with rotating fan cones, since they are not able to process pieces with high humidity content.
Basically our dryers are of three types:
1) with static distribution which makes them suitable to process pieces immediately after their shaping (distribution through forced sheets)
2) with dynamic distribution which makes them suitable to dry after a certain standing time after shaping (distribution through high speed air blowing)
3) with mixed distribution that means with a first static phase and a second dynamic phase coincident with the last shrinking (Bigot phase). This solution is exclusively applicable for Tunnel dryers.
The dryers belonging to type 1 and 2 can be of BATCH (chamber) or TUNNEL type whereas the dryers of type 3 can only be on TUNNEL.
The Tunnel dryers are suitable to work with DRYING CARS, with HANGING SHELVES MONO OR TWIN RAIL or on ROLLERS.
